1Password

Integrate 1Password with Torq to automate user lifecycle management workflows.

Updated over a week ago

1Password is a password manager that securely stores and manages passwords, credentials, and sensitive information.

Torq enables quick and easy integration with 1Password, so you can automate anything and everything within moments. Torq's pre-built 1Password steps include::

  • List Users

  • Get a User

  • Suspend a User

  • Reactivate a User

If you don't see a step you need, you can create your own in various ways, such as using the Send an HTTP Request step or Torq’s Step Builder, and share it across your organization.

Use 1Password steps in Torq

Step 1: Generate OAuth 2.0 credentials in 1Password

  1. Create a new OAuth application: In 1Password Manager, navigate to Integrations > OAuth Application

  2. Configure the OAuth Application:

    1. Enter a meaningful name for the application.

    2. Enter the redirect URL.

    3. Select the scope for the application.

  3. Finalize: Click Generate Credentials.

    1. Copy the generated client ID and secret to use later in Torq.

Step 2: Create a 1Password steps integration in Torq

  1. Navigate to the Integration: Go to Build > Integrations > Steps > 1Password and click Add Instance.

  2. Configure the integration:

    1. Enter a meaningful name for the integration.

    2. Enter the token URL.

    3. Paste the Client ID and Secret you copied earlier in 1Password.

    4. Enter the base URL for the API calls and the scope.

  3. Finalize: Click Add.
