Learn to integrate Adaptive Shield with Torq for security monitoring and configure API keys, alerts, and workflows.

Adaptive Shield is a security monitoring and SaaS to-SaaS controlling platform.

Get your Adaptive Shield API key

Perform these steps in your Adaptive Shield console.

  1. Go to Dashboard, and open User settings.

  2. Navigate to the API section.

    1. Copy the Account ID.

    2. Click Generate new key and name it Torq or something related.

    3. Copy the generated API key.

Create an Adaptive Shield Steps Integration in Torq

The steps integration stores your Adaptive Shield API information. You'll select the integration when using the Adaptive Shield steps.

  1. Go to the Build > Integrations > Steps > Adaptive Shield and click Add.

  2. Enter a meaningful name for the integration.

  3. Enter your Adaptive Shield API key.

  4. Enter your Adaptive Shield Account ID.

  5. Click Save.

Create a Torq Alert from Adaptive Shield

First, you'll create an Adaptive Shield trigger integration in Torq, generating a unique endpoint URL in Torq. This endpoint is where outside events will be sent to Torq from Adaptive Shield. Next, you'll create an alert in Adaptive Shield. One of the configuration items you'll need is the Torq URL.

  1. Go to Build > Integrations > Triggers > Adaptive Shield and click Add.

  2. Enter a unique and meaningful name.

  3. Copy the webhook that Torq generated for you.

  4. Go to your Adaptive Shield settings > Alerts.

  5. Click Add New Alert channel.

  6. Click the Torq icon.

  7. Give your alert a meaningful and unique alias.

  8. Paste the webhook from your Torq integration.

  9. Click Test to ensure that your alert integration works.

  10. Click Finish to finalize.
