Use Notion to Trigger Workflows in Torq
Step One: Create a Notion Trigger Integration in Torq
Navigate to Integration: Go to Build > Integrations > Triggers > Notion and click Add.
Fill in the Details: Give the integration a unique and meaningful name.
Finalize: Click Add.
Copy the URL: You can copy the endpoint URL by selecting the clipboard icon next to it. Paste the copied URL into the webhook that you will create in Notion.
Step Two: Add a Webhook in Notion
In Notion, you can set up a trigger to send an HTTP POST to a specific URL using the Send Webhook action. This action does not require authentication.
Add an Action: there are 3 ways to add a Send Webhook action in Notion.
Button:
Database Button:
In your Notion database, select the three-dot menu at the top right.
Select Properties > + New property > Button.
Give your button a name or description.
Select Edit automation.
Select + New action.
Select Send webhook.
Paste the URL associated with your Notion integration from Torq in the URL box.
Click Save.
Database Automation:
In your Notion database, select the three-dot menu at the top right.
Select Automations.
In the automation box, add a trigger to your automation by selecting + New trigger and selecting the trigger you want.
In the automation box, select + New action.
Select Send webhook.
Paste the URL associated with your Notion integration from Torq in the URL box.
Click Enable.
Use Notion Steps in Torq
Step One: Create a Notion Steps Integration in Torq
Navigate to Integration: Go to Build > Integrations > Steps > Notion and click Add.
Fill in Details: Give the integration a unique and meaningful name.
Grant Permissions: Confirm the permissions required to create the integration by clicking Select pages.
Select the workspaces and pages you want the Torq app to have access to.
Click Allow access.
Validate in Notion: Perform these steps in Notion:
Go to the pages you want to access via Torq and click the three-dot menu at the top right corner.
Go to Connections and verify Torq is listed. If not, click Add connections and select Torq from the list.
You can grant Torq access to additional Notion pages by editing the integration within Torq or by using the Add connections option from the page three-dot menu in Notion.
Performing actions related to pages may require a page ID, which is the UUID found in the page URL.
