Share Resources Across Torq Workspaces: Streamline Collaboration

Enhance collaboration by sharing resources like integrations and workflows across workspaces within your Torq organization.

Updated over a week ago

Cross-workspace sharing allows teams to reuse integrations, workflows, and other resources across workspaces within the same Torq organization. This reduces duplication, simplifies maintenance, and improves collaboration while maintaining strict access control.

The following resource types can be shared between workspaces:

The workspace that shares the resource is the source workspace, while the workspace receiving the resource is the destination workspace.

Important considerations

Before sharing resources, keep the following rules in mind.

  • Organization scope: Resources can only be shared between workspaces within the same organization.

  • Source control: Destination workspaces can view and use shared resources, but only the source workspace can modify them.

  • Permissions required: To share resources, the user must have a role that includes the resource.share scope.

  • Automatic acceptance: If the user sharing the resource is also an Owner in the destination workspace, the share request is accepted automatically.

Automate resource sharing

You can automate cross-workspace sharing using dedicated workflow steps. These steps allow workflows to create, manage, and process share requests.

Available automation steps include:

  • Create Share Request

  • Accept Share Request

  • Deny Share Request

  • List Share Requests

  • Remove <resource type> Sharing (for example, Remove Workflow Sharing)

Trigger workflows on share requests: Use the Share request created system event to automatically trigger a workflow when a new share request is sent to your workspace.
