Two-Factor Authentication: Secure Your Workspaces

Enhance workspace security by enabling two-factor authentication for users logging in with email and password.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of account protection against credential theft, brute force attacks, and similar threats.

Torq's 2FA applies only to users logging in with an email and password. Users authenticating via SSO or Google sign-in are not affected.

How it works

  1. Prompt on first login: On first login with email and password, the user is prompted to set up 2FA before continuing.

  2. Scan the barcode: The user scans the presented barcode or enters the activation code into an authenticator app on their mobile device.

  3. Enter the code: The user enters the code shown in the authenticator app to complete verification.

  4. Access granted: The user is logged in and can proceed normally.

Reset 2FA

  1. Navigate: Go to Settings > Users > Members.

  2. Reset: Click the three-dot (...) menu next to the user and select Reset 2FA. The user will be required to re-scan the barcode on their next login.
