Improve team efficiency and streamline communication within Torq by automatically assigning tasks to cases. Tasks prompt the user to either acknowledge a message or provide requested information. Designed with Torq Interact, tasks integrate seamlessly, with pending ones easily trackable from the case's main view or timeline.
Learn how to track and complete assigned tasks.
Set up a task
Add the Interaction operator: Insert the Interaction operator into your workflow.
Open Interaction Flow Settings: Select the Interaction operator, then click Flow Settings.
Enable case-based access: Under In-product access, select Case (user input task).
For Torq Interact triggers and Interaction steps that continue an existing Interaction Flow, the Case (user input task) option is replaced by Expose in all cases. Selecting this option allows the workflow to be run manually from Cases, and when triggered from a case, the case ID is detected automatically, no manual entry required.Provide the case ID: Enter the relevant case ID in the input field.
Allow task cancellation (optional): Select Allow end-users to cancel tasks and stop the related workflow execution if applicable.
Save the configuration: Click Save to apply the changes.
When multiple tasks are assigned at the same time, the assignment order isn’t guaranteed.
Cancel a task
When configuring an Interaction Flow, you can select Allow end-users to cancel tasks and stop the related workflow execution, which lets analysts cancel (“delete”) pending tasks and restart case handling from scratch if needed. Canceling a pending task also stops the related workflow execution, and restarting the task creates a new workflow execution.
